While love is implicit in the workings of the universe, evolution is the process of making love explicit. It inclines the universe to a full awareness of its basic nature, which is love. Through awareness, God, which is love, makes itself known. Our evolutionary role is making love conscious and intentional. In other words, we have reached a time where Consciousness is now becoming conscious. This is the ongoing miracle. True awareness is its process and its purpose. It is the miracle of healing our troubled lives and blighted planet. This is your true purpose: to actualise the love that you are. Make love, not fear.
As the motivating power of existence itself, love is inherently relational. It operates through the process of desire and attraction, which can only exist when there is something to desire. Nothing desires something and a relationship is started. Therefore, one might say creation is a story of relationship, the relationship with the beloved One.
The Creation Hymn from the Rig Veda says:
In the beginning desire came upon the One;
that was the first seed of Consciousness.
The impulse of desire sets in motion the creative energy of love. From indistinguishable non-existence, existence appears and relationship starts.
